I don't really care about brands Chevy Ford Dodge ...as long as it doesn't sound like two old dudes farting in a coffee can.

ahh thanks.

its just a matter of time before someone decodes that part number *cough*hawkard*cough* lol

i think that decoding the part number is a crime and should be illegal though :D

im going to say it is a removable service panel for one of those compressor deals that camper specials had or something. totally random guess

I'll give another hint tomorrow, unless someone gets it by then.

Before I posted this picture, I almost cropped out the piece on the left with the PN, but decided to leave it, in case anyone wanted to let their fingers do the walking. ;)

Well, it appears as if this one finally has you all stumped!

OK, here's a hint:

It's only for the bumpside trucks.

By it's shape, it appears to be a bump patch...

Not sure if it is for a specific place on the bump or not..
It looks to be about the same size as the cut out for rear bed side lights on '70-'72's...
Since Keith highlighted the word Bump I'm stickin' with bump patch.
That's my final answer

BINGO! We have a winner! Yes, that is exactly what it is.

When the '70 model trucks came along with the rear-mounted bed lights, Ford ceased maintaining an inventory of the quarterpanel extensions for the '67-'69 trucks. Instead, they simply kept the '70-'72 extension in stock, as well as the above-pictured patch, which would've been used to convert the '70-'72 quarterpanel extension to the '67-'69 style...

In other words, to convert THIS.........................................to this:

Looks to be the same size as the lights on 70-72 bed side lights :? That is my guess some kind of deletion plate for those :?
