Slick60s site?

Post by FORDification »

I pop in from time to time to the Slick60's MSN board, and when I went there this evening I find that he's shutting it down? He gave a link to the new board at http://groups.msn.com/BitandFriendsPlace but when I click that I get:
Hmmm, We Can't Find that Page...
The page you're looking for might have been moved or deleted. Or, perhaps the Web address is misspelled?
So what's going on? Will the site be continued elsewhere? What about the North Carolina forums....I notice that link is no longer working as well?

Keith,
Thats the first of heard of that, I'm a member there also. They need to have this type of site and get away from msn.

Well, I might have jumped the gun. It seems that the owners had another MSN group that was Ford-related, and THAT was the one shutting down. I must have clicked on a link to it and then clicked my Back button but it didn't go back, so while I thought I was at the Slick60s site I was actually at the other one. They both look identical. I tried again this morning and was able to get into the Slick 60s site....one time. After I read the first message and tried to go back, I wasn't allowed. After several minutes of trying unsuccessfully, I gave up and left.

Man, I totally agree. These guys are killing themselves by using MSN, that's got to be the clunkiest and problematic setup I've ever seen! More often than not I can't get in just to view the messages, and when I do, I can't view attachments or post. I've read about similar experiences from many of the members there on a regular basis too, so I know it's not just me (this time, anyway. :P )

I've offered my services several times, but have never even gotten a response from anyone, so I don't know what's going on or what the rationale behind their staying there is. :?

Agreed. The would more than double their membership and traffic with a better site.

The only 2 Carolina sites I know about are

http://forums.carolinafords.org/index.php

and

http://forum.ncfto.org/index.php

and both are working. I have dotcentral to thank for pointing me to those.
